While Crescent RagMat remains a top-quality choice with 100% cotton fibers and natural acid-free properties, we also offer a budget-friendly option – the White Core mount. This alternative is buffered with calcium carbonate for pH neutrality at the time of manufacture, providing a cost reduction of approximately $60 for each matboard swapped out.
This option allows our customers to enjoy immediate savings while understanding that a whitecore mount will not perform the same in the long term. We believe in providing transparency and choice, so whether you prioritize archival quality or are looking for a more economical solution, we're here to meet your framing needs accordingly.
